History

Frenchy’s Surfboards exist since 1993. I started making my own surfboards, then making them for friends. In the late 90s, I started to travel around in Florida, Costa Rica and the North Shore in Hawaii, chasing waves and glassing boards here and there. My best learning experience was in Australia where I worked in a factory with three guys that combined together 60 years of surfboard making experience.

If you ever go Ron Jon in Cocoa Beach, the biggest surf shop in the world, you will see two giant statues in the front lobby holding Frenchy’s Surfboards.

In 2002, participated in the TV Show “Made in Maine”, where I explained the different steps of making a surfboard.

Since five years, I produce approximately 50 boards per year for surf shops in New England and Canada.
